Lace and Bead Knitting Workshop with tutor, Debbie Abrahams
Friday 9th October 2026 | 10.15am - 4.15pm
This course is suitable for knitters who can already knit and follow a basic knitting pattern but want to practice the techniques of lace and bead knitting. Working on a small accessory using Rowan yarns, you will learn how to knit in beads using two different methods.
The following techniques will be covered:
- how to read a lace and bead chart
- an easy way to thread beads onto your yarn
- the slip-stitch beading technique
- the hooking-in beading technique (crochet hook and floss methods)
You will need to bring 1 pair 2.25mm needles 1 pair 3.00mm needles.Crochet hook, max size 0.75mm OR Superfloss OR fine wire (for hooking in beads) Fine needle and thread (for threading beads onto yarn) Scissors Pad and pencil Hi-lighter pen or washi-tape (for marking the chart)
There are 10 places on this workshop.

- Yarn kit, refreshments and lunch will be provided on the day. The workshop takes place at the Black Sheep Craft Barn in Warrington.
