Spring Chill Hexi Cardigan by Cassie Ward

Join us on our latest Make Along, the Spring Chill Hexi Cardigan is the perfect crocheted cover up. Designed exclusively for Black Sheep Wools by Cassie Ward, this wardrobe essential is such fun to make. Embrace an explosion of colour or pull together a two tone look - make it your own. Crocheted in beautiful 4ply yarns this is such a delight and will be a great addition to your wardrobe.

Designer Cassie Ward creates on-trend, wearable designs and this granny stripe cardigan is no exception. We have put together two colourways that you can follow, or feel free to curate your own collection.

Our first is selected from our newest 4ply yarn, the fab King Cole Merino 4ply. This is a machine washable 100% pure new wool yarn in a fabulous array of colours. It comes in 50g balls and is only £3.79 per ball. It crochets beautifully and our chalky colourway is really wearable.

The second is made in the gorgeous Scheepjes Metropolis. A blend of 75% extra fine merino wool and 25% nylon it is soft, strong and perfect to crochet with. The colour palette is immense, there are 90 shades incorporating bright, light and pastel shades. It is machine washable and you can pop it in the tumble dryer – what more can you ask from a yarn?
