Week 5 Lady lane - A Day Out Knit Along Blanket by Sarah Hatton - Mosaic knitting

We're at the half way point of A Day Out knit along by Sarah Hatton - welcome to week 5! Once you start with a KAL project like this you are soon sailing through the weeks. If you stop and look at all of your blocks, you will be surprised by how many you have knitted so far. It's on the way to being a beautiful blanket.
There have been photos popping up on social media of knitters laying out the squares in the blanket formation as they have knitted them. It really is beginning to look like a blanket.

A Day Out Knit Along by Sarah Hatton

It's week 5 - Lady Lane and there is a new mosaic block for your blanket. Sarah has designed a fabulous square that is great for practicing your mosaic knitting skills. There are 4 squares to knit, one for each corner of your blanket.

There isn't a video this week, but if you do want to have a refresh of the mosaic knitting technique watch Lynne Rowe's helpful tutorial on YouTube.

Black Sheep Sara shared the history of Lady Lane on location in Croft. This video is available as a Facebook video here. Sara has found out all sorts of local history about Croft and Culcheth. It's interesting to hear what she has to share each week.

She has also shared her hints and tips for the week 5 square. If you haven't read Sara's tips every week, they really are helpful to read before you cast on your square. Helpful snippets to give you little reminders before you begin.
