What caught your eye with this design?
It’s a cute, festive design. The shades in the original pattern are what usually appeals to me but I wanted something more autumnal.
I love the shades in Sirdar Stories DK so when Stories Chunky was launched I just had to have a chunky sweater for winter.
Why did you choose the colour(s)?
I wanted a colour scheme that I don’t tend to wear. The shades compliment each other so well. When I saw the burgundy + mint together I just had to have something made in them.
How do you plan to wear your new garment?
With leggings or tights with a skirt and boots.
Are you pleased with the outcome of your garment?
Absolutely over the moon!
What is next on your wish list?
A 2 piece or knitted dress.
Now let's see what Carmen had to say about knitting the sweater....
Was the pattern easy to follow?
Yes it was easy to follow, I didn’t have to make any adjustments.
Have you used this yarn before? How did you find it?
With it being a chunky cotton/acrylic initially I did find it a little bit stiffer to work. I wouldn’t say this was a problem, just something to be aware of. I soon got used to the feel of the yarn after a few rows.
Would you recommend the pattern to someone else? Would you make it for yourself?
I think it would be a great pattern for someone who has never done colourwork before. Only a small amount yet very effective. If I made it for myself I think it would look really nice in just two colours!
