Rozeta Crochet Along by Lilla Björn

It really is crochet along season at the moment. There's the Stylecraft Sunstar CAL, Jane Crowfoot's Climbing Rose wrap, our very own Nature's Walk CAL, designed by Cherry Heart and now we have the Scheepjes Rozeta CAL to share. The super part about a CAL is that patterns are released gradually over a period of weeks or months so that you have plenty of time to keep up. You can also decide to save all of the patterns up and start the CAL at a future date that suits you (and your never-ending stash of WIP's) better. With the pattern releases all varying it gives you the chance to dip into one or two of the different CAL's currently on offer.
The Rozeta crochet along blanket has been designed by Tatsiana from Lilla Björn blog. We are very lucky to have worked closely with Tatsiana, she is one of the designers in our online Black Sheep Boutique. Last year Tatsiana visited the Craft Barn for the first time and hosted for afternoon tea. We were so happy when she agreed to come back this year for a Rozeta afternoon tea and meet and greet in store. It was fantastic to have all of the sensational Rozeta blankets on display in the Craft Barn.

They really were a sight to behold, seeing the design up close makes you realise what a talent Tatsiana is. How does she create such intricate designs? This is not a blanket design that she has whizzed up in a few hours. It is almost like a piece of art. In fact it would look rather lovely displayed as a wall hanging when you are finished. 
The inspiration for the blanket comes from rose windows found in gothic architecture. The four different colourways are inspired by the light coming through the windows at various times throughout the day - Dawn, Dusk, Twilight and Midnight. There are 8 different colour packs to choose from with four in Stylecraft Our Tribe and four in Scheepjes Colour Crafter. The Colour Crafter kits sold out on our pre-order, but we do still have stock of some Our Tribe kits.

Sara is going to be taking part in the CAL choosing the Twilight Our Tribe kit. In the video below she is unboxing the colour pack she has chosen. The Scheepjes Our Tribe yarn is a beautiful yarn to use as it is a gradient yarn that transitions smoothly through the design.
