Rhythmic Knit Along Hints and Tips - Week Three

OK hands up, I’m still a bit behind on the Rhythmic KAL. However the eternal optimist in me thinks I'll catch up eventually!

The day after this week’s pattern was released I was chatting to one of the Black Sheep Knit & Natterers. Diane told me I would love this week’s pattern, easy to pick up and really effective. She was right! It is a narrow rectangle, only 17 stitches and grows really quickly. Which is a good job as the blanket knitters have to make 12 in total, cushion makers 6.

Diane also gave me a great tip, without which I would have ended up with a loop at the front of my work. So thanks Diane for tips 1 & 2.

1. When knitting Row 3 make sure you keep the contrast colour to the back of the work when you are not working it. It stops you getting a loop across the front.
2. On row 4 keep your non-working yarn at the front of your work.
3. Don’t cut the yarn, simply carry it up the side but remember not to pull it too tightly.

And that’s it for this week. It is a really simple, effective pattern. It’s so easy to remember and it looks fabulous.
