Bust the Blues - Join our Finishathon!

It’s that time of year where we do our best to ‘Bust the Blues!’. Have a root around the cupboard of doom, the drawers under the bed, the naughty corner and bring out your UFO’s. Get ready to join in our January finishathon!

January can be such a long and difficult month. The festivities are behind us, the nights are long and the weather generally rubbish. Banish the blues and embrace some natural dopamine by finishing off those pesky projects you left behind.

As you are probably aware I always have lots of abandoned projects, however this time round I had slim pickings. Not because I don’t have any (I have roughly eleventy billion) but as I have recently moved house I couldn't find them all. I’m guessing they are still in boxes in the garage! But here goes;

Betwixtmas Shawl - I only cast this on properly on New Years Eve so it really doesn’t feel like a UFO but I am enjoying it so much and would love to get it off my needles and wear it before winter closes! I’m not quite half way along at the moment.

Lampas Cowl - this was such a popular make along from last January. Using slip stitch colourwork and the beautiful Rowan Fine Tweed Haze it is absolutely delicious. I did all the knitting but never sewed it up at the end - goodness knows why, It’s now on the ‘Bust the Blues’ list.

PetiteKnits Uma Shawl - again this is a recent cast on. A super simple pattern from the queen of understated elegant knits I am making the on-trend triangle shawl in Cygnet Truly Wool Rich 4ply. I have one ball of 4ply and a contrast to go!

Stylecraft Softie Sweater - I fell in love with this pattern as soon as I saw it. So much so I couldn't get it out of my head and ended up in the Craft Barn at 7pm at night picking out a shade. However I soon got distracted by something else and here it is a WIP. There’s a lot to do on this so I may be a bit optimistic but hey what’s new.

Default Title

Winter’s Storey Blanket - I could definitely be biting off more than I can chew including this one too but it is too good to leave languishing in a bag!

This is a long list and I could add even more. I’m not sure I'll finish them all but I can guarantee I will give it a good go! Join us at the Craft Barn on Monday 19th January for our 'Bust the Blues' party. Bring along your UFO's and get a dopamine hit when you finish it.
