Black Sheep Wools Workshops - Early 2020
Take out your 2020 diary and start to plan some fabulous days out at Black Sheep Wools! Our 2020 workshops are now live and available to book on the website. You will find an incredible selection of workshops for dates early in the year. We have old favourites making a return and many new classes now added to our repertoire.
Beginners Dyeing and Drop Spindle Spinning Mini Workshops
Try your hand at dyeing your own yarn. With an increased popularity in knitting or crocheting with beautiful hank of hand-dyed yarn, why not give it a try yourself. The lovely Miriam, who works in our Craft Barn loves to spin and dye yarn in her spare time.
Sharing her knowledge she will be teaching a selection of mini hand dye and drop spindle workshops. Debbie Tomkies will also be making a return to the Craft Barn with full day dyeing workshops.
Friday 24th and Friday 31st January 2020

The Basics Of Knitting Pattern Writing
Learn the Basics of Pattern Writing (15th February 2020) with experienced designer and tutor, Sarah Hatton. This workshop has proved very popular when we have held it in the past. Very much a theory workshop with little knitting involved, you will leave with the skills to adjust a pattern correctly and begin to write your own.
Sarah has worked for Rowan, West Yorkshire Spinners and Sirdar over the years so she is most certainly equipped for the job. You may well have even knitted one of her designs already.
Mini Workshops On Mindful Knitting, Crochet Finishing & More!

In February she will be teaching Learn to Knit Continental. This class is aimed at beginners and continental style knitting is great for crocheters who would like to learn to knit. How about that for a good New Years resolution!
