Back in Time CAL - Black Sheep Wools Crochet Along 2021
After all of the teasers we put out on social media last week, we can finally share with you our fantastic new crochet along - Back in Time CAL! Our new crochet along has been designed by the one and only Black Sheep Sara. Sara has been working away on this design, putting together a blanket that is an assortment of simple stitches for the beginner and a relaxing make for those who can already crochet. The colour sequence plays a big part in this blanket, as you will find out a little further down this post.
We have four colour packs to choose from in a variety of colourways of a selection of just some of our favourite yarns.

All of the kits come with an exclusive Back in Time CAL goody bag which is also available to purchase separately. In the goody bag you will find a selection of special items for the CAL. There's a printed pattern, CAL pin badge, 'Ends' party invite - with sewing up needle, postcard and 5 envelopes containing the secret weekly colour sequence information. Although the full pattern will be released in one go, we will be sharing the colour sequence weekly. Everyone can then open the envelopes each Tuesday and the sequence will be available to download from the website 9am Tuesday from 28th September 2021. If you do become tempted and open your envelopes early, we ask you please don't share the sequence with others.
Choosing shades and yarns is all part of the fun when creating a crochet along. We hope you like them! If you would like to pick your own colours and DK yarn the option is there, as we are going to be putting the pattern on our website for FREE. We have put a list of yarn quantities. To create your version of the CAL, you will need the following quantities of DK weight yarn in metres: Shades A - 294m, B - 441m, C - 333m, D - 313m, E - 281m, F - 325m, G - 279m, H - 264m.
What is an 'Ends' party you ask? Sew in your ends with Sara in a virtual party on Facebook. Sara will be going live for a CAL Q&A at 8pm. This will be held every Monday evening at 8pm on our Facebook group - Black Sheep Wools Make Along from Monday 4th October. Get all of your blanket ends sew in ready for the next instalment of the pattern sequence on Tuesday.
Sara will be sharing Black Sheep stories and talking about crochet and knitting through the ages in a ‘Back in Time video every Tuesday at 11am. Look out for special guests!
