Autumn at the Craft Barn
We have all sorts going on at the Craft Barn this autumn. Take a look at what we have planned and get your diary out!
Last Saturday we kicked off with a fab day, when super star crochet designer Cherry Heart was in store launching our new crochet along - Nature's Walk. There were adorable Cherry Heart themed cupcakes, sprigs of flora and Sandra even brought in all three colourways of her exquisite crocheted blanket for everyone to see up close.
This Saturday (14th September) we will be hosting a Rowan new season launch day in our cosy Rowan Flagship area. Join us for a glass of bubbly, a look through all of the new pattern books and a squish of yummy new yarns. Rowan Cashmere Haze and Rowan Island Blend are two that are too tempting not to squish. Enjoy trying on garments on display and choosing a shade for your next project. There will be a special discount of 10% off on all full price Rowan yarns exclusively in store for the day.
We will be welcoming back an old friend of the Black Sheep, Jem Weston on Thursday 19th September. Jem will be hosting a knitting afternoon tea (fully booked) where she will be talking about being a knitting designer, her new book 'Cosy Alpaca Knits' and sharing a mini knitting project. The afternoon tea is fully booked but Jem will be popping in a little earlier on the day and you might catch her in the Rowan area in the morning.
The following Saturday (21st September) it will be our Sirdar day at the Craft Barn. The shop will be filled with lots of stunning designs from Sirdar, along with all of the new season patterns and yarns to see. The Sirdar team will be sharing their top tips and tricks to get the best out of your knitting.
Swiftly moving on to Thursday 26th September when we will have Scheepjes designer - Tatsiana of Lilla Björn blog at the Craft Barn for afternoon tea. Tatsiana has just been announced as the designer for this years Scheepjes CAL. She has produced a striking blanket design - Rozeta. We will have the Rozeta blanket design on display, along with many other pieces by Tatsiana. There are still a few spaces left on the afternoon tea. It is a fantastic opportunity to meet such a talented designer.
On the morning of Friday 27th September Tatsiana will still be with us for meet and greet with Lilla Björn in the Craft Barn from 10am - 12pm. Pop in and show Tatsiana one of her designs that you have made. She is such a lovely lady who is so enthusiastic about her crochet. She will love to see which of her projects you are making.

We are also starting late night shopping every Thursday. The Craft Barn will be open until 8pm. The tea shop will be open until 7pm, so if you fancy popping in for an evening cuppa and slice of cake there's time to fit that in too.
