An Autumnal Make Along - Knitted Mittens With Beads
The time has come for a new make along. Besotted with the sumptuous shades of Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply we went on the hunt for a beautiful knitting pattern for a pair of mittens.
The autumn winter months are the perfect time for knitting cosy accessories, you can actually wear them as soon as you cast off that final stitch. Unlike summer months when you cast off a woolly hat and realise it’s a sun hat that you actually require!
Colder days call for adding these instant warmers to your ensemble. With Christmas parties off the cards this year, we were smitten with the idea of adorning our mittens with elegant beads.
This is when we knew we had found the perfect make along project - Leave these to Me mittens by Louise Zass-Bangham.
The pattern is available to purchase via Ravelry. We have made up some lovely yarn kits, which include a hank of Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply and complementing Debbie Abrahams beads. Sara had some fun matching the beads with the hanks of yarn.
There are five colour combinations to choose from, but don’t feel limited to choosing one from the five. You could knit your mitts in another 4ply yarn and use clashing beads or perhaps a rainbow of beads.

The yarn & bead kits would also make a lovely gift for a knitter or a crocheter. They could use the beautiful hank of yarn and luxurious beads to make one of their favourite patterns. I know a popular choice for using the Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply is the Hitchhiker shawl by Martina Behm.
