Professional Finishing Knitting Workshop with tutor, Anniken Allis
Saturday 17th January 2026 | 10.15am - 4.15pm
After spending hours, weeks or months knitting a beautiful garment, poor finishing can ruin all your hard work. Learn how to sew in ends neatly, block and press pieces correctly, sew up garments using mattress stitch, shaping to make sewing up easier, picking up stitches for neck bands and button bands, short row shaping and three needle cast off for shoulders.
You will get my Online Professional Finishing Course for FREE after attending this class.
You will need to knit two 15x15 cm stocking stitch swatches in a smooth DK yarn. Do not cast off your swatches but leave them on a piece of waste yarn. Bring a third swatch in stocking stitch (approx 15x15cm) - this swatch can be cast off.
You will need to bring a blunt sewing up needle, 3.25mm and 4mm knitting needles
Skills needed: Knit, purl, cast on and cast off.

- Yarn, refreshments and lunch will be provided on the day. The workshop takes place at the Black Sheep Craft Barn in Warrington.

N.B. Sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control workshops and events may be cancelled. At which point the cost of your workshop will be fully refunded. We cannot be held liable for any travel costs incurred.
