Cast On / Cast Off Knitting Workshop with tutor, Kate Heppell
Friday 5th June 2026 | 10.15am - 4.15pm
Are your necklines and sock cuffs always too tight? Perhaps you've picked up a pattern and fallen at the first hurdle when it told you to begin with a cast-on you've never heard of? Or maybe you simply want to expand your skills and take your knitting to the next level? This is the workshop for you!
In the morning, we'll explore a wide range of cast-ons, from pinhole and provisional to Judy's magic cast-on and more. After lunch, we'll focus on finishing with some fabulous cast-offs, including (but not limited to) the EZ sewn cast-off, three-needle cast-off and Jeni's super-stretchy cast-off!
You will need to bring straight needles, circular and DPNs in 5mm, a darning needle and scissors.
Skills needed: Knit and purl

What's Included?
- Yarn, refreshments and lunch will be provided on the day. The workshop takes place at the Black Sheep Craft Barn in Warrington.

N.B. Sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control workshops and events may be cancelled. At which point the cost of your workshop will be fully refunded. We cannot be held liable for any travel costs incurred.
Please note: All cancellations incur a £10 admin fee and if you cancel within 14 days of the workshop, you will be charged the full cost.
