We are delighted to introduce our latest summer Make Along - the supremely wearable Anker's designs from Petite Knits. We will be working on two of her designs - the stunning Anker's Summer Shirt, a short sleeved summer tee that will go with everything, and the Anker's Sweater My Boyfriends Size. A fab long sleeved in Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt DK or you could make it in King Cole Orchard Dk.
I made my first Anker's Summer Shirt last year. I started it on a long haul flight and soon fell in love. The Anker's design is so simple and effective. Both garments are knitted top down and in the round, with an increase round that becomes a design feature.
The Anker's Summer Shirt is a design that suits all sizes, you can alter the sleeve length and body length to one you feel comfortable with. My first Anker's was knitted in King Cole Cottonsoft DK and this, Rowan Summerlite DK and Rowan Cotton Cashmere are our featured yarns. You can make it any dk though - just be sure to check your tension!
The Anker's Sweater My Boyfriends Size is a great multi-use sweater using the same yoke design and style. Perfect in Peer Gynt, the pure Norwegian Wool from Sandnes Garn, or you make this in a cotton yarn too!
