Staff Project: Stylecraft Colourburst Crocheted Cardigan

Black Sheep Sarah loves to crochet. She likes making all sorts of things including baby blankets, accessories and toys. Coming up to Christmas you may find her making an elf or Santa hat during her lunch break. Getting some last minute crocheting in ready for an upcoming Christmas market.
Sarah has enjoyed the opportunity to make something for herself to wear for a change. If you pop in the shop over the coming months there is every chance she may be wearing her new crocheted cardigan.

Name: Sarah
Pattern: Stylecraft 10263
Yarn: Stylecraft Colourburst DK and Stylecraft Special DK
Shades: 5231 Meteor (Colourburst DK) and 1831 Lapis (Special DK)
Size: 36"/38"

How did you find the pattern?

A well written pattern that was easy to follow. The pattern is a stripe sequence of Colourburst and Special DK but I decided to do the main body of the cardigan solid using Colourburst and used the Special DK for the ribbing. The only adjustment I made to the pattern was where the front ribbing attaches to the collar rib. I did 6dc as 8dc was too many.

Have you used the yarn before? How did you find it?

I'd not used Stylecraft Colourburst before and it was a lovely yarn to crochet with. I have used Special DK before.

Would you recommend the pattern to someone else?

Yes I would recommend the pattern and might even make it again myself one day.

Anything else you would like to say about it?

Having adapted the colour sequence of the pattern I used different yarn quantities. I used one ball of Special DK and five of Colourburst DK altogether.
