Introduction to Beaded Colourwork Knitting Workshop with tutor, Jeanette Sloan
Saturday 11th November 2023 | 10am - 4pm
This full day workshop takes beaded knitting a stage further. Using the pre-threading method of bead knitting, students will learn how to create multi coloured motifs using several colours of beads.
In the morning we’ll start with a look at some beaded designs in order to whet the students’ appetite and outline what’s involved in this exciting technique. Jeanette will show teach you the importance of matching the bead size with yarn weight, how to read a chart and how to thread beads onto the yarn for this particular technique. You’ll then get to cast on the design Jeanette has created especially for this class. The rest of the day will be spent getting to grips with the project which you can finish at your own pace at home.
Image shown is not the exact project you will knit.
