How to Crochet Socks Workshop with tutor, Claire Montgomerie
Saturday 10th June 2023 | 10am - 4pm
An introduction to crochet socks. We will cover all elements of sock construction including:
• working in the round
• crochet ribbing/cuffs
• turning a heel
• making the toe
There will be tips and techniques for a few different methods of making each part of the sock. We will be working on mini socks to practice the techniques, but the pattern provided will cover different sized adult socks, which can be begun in the class, too. This is a full day workshop where the techniques are shown and practised, then the socks are begun, to be finished at home.
You will need to bring 3mm and 2.5mm hooks, stitch markers, scissors and a darning needle,
Skill level: Improver, participants must at least know the basic stitches, UK double crochet, half treble and treble crochet and how to follow a basic pattern.
There are 10 places on this workshop.
