Festive Fair Isle Knitting Workshop with tutor, Debbie Abrahams
Saturday 8th October 2022 | 10am - 4pm
Learn the techniques of fairisle knitting including stranding and weaving-in. The fairisle sections will be knitted from charts with worded instructions provided for the rest of the favour bags. You will be given a kit for this project which includes Rowan Baby Cashsoft Merino and buttons.
The following techniques will be covered:
how to read from a chart
the stranding technique
the weaving-in technique
how to pick up stitches (to knit the back panels)
mattress stitch
sewing in ends
There are 10 places on this workshop.
What's Included?
- Yarn kit, refreshments and lunch will be provided on the day.

- This workshop requires a little homework of stocking stitch knitted swatches. Full details will be included in the letter.
- Once purchased you will receive a letter explaining more about the day. Letters will be sent out nearer to the workshop date.
N.B. Sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control workshops and events may be cancelled. At which point the cost of your workshop will be fully refunded. We cannot be held liable for any travel costs incurred.
