Crochet Edgings and Joinings PM workshop with tutor, Sophia Reed
Friday 10th March 2023 | 1.30pm - 4pm
Sophia will show you four different techniques for joining crocheted or knitted squares, together with a variety of crochet edge trims, including picot, scallop, ruffle and crab (reverse) stitch. These seams and edgings can be used to make and finish blankets, cushions and much more. Guidance on joining seams with a needle including invisible/mattress stitch, backstitch and overcast/whip stitch is also provided.
Using four granny squares that you have brought with you to the workshop, you will complete a variety of seams and edgings, which you can use to make and finish blankets, cushions and much more!
This workshop is for people who are already comfortable with basic crochet stitches (chaining, double crochet and treble crochet) and are ready for the next steps in crochet. It is not suitable for beginners.
You will need to bring four completed granny squares, approximately 4” / 10cm squares and a 4mm crochet hook. Yarn will be provided.
There are 10 places on this workshop.
