Beaded Knitted Autumn Purse Workshop with tutor, Debbie Abrahams
Friday 7th October 2022 | 10am - 4pm
A small purse combining hooked-in beads and slip-stitch beads with autumnal stripes
Learn how to bead your knitting using two different techniques, the hooked-in and slip-stitch methods. The beaded sections will be knitted from charts with worded instructions provided for the rest of the purse. You will be given a kit for this project which includes Rowan Glace Cotton, Debbie Abrahams size 6 glass beads, buttons and a magnetic clasp fastening.
The following techniques will be covered: v1 how to read from a chart v2 the hooked-in bead technique 1. how to thread beads onto yarn the slip-stitch bead technique how to pick up stitches (to knit the back panel) mattress stitch sewing in ends
There are 10 places on this workshop.
What's Included?

- This workshop requires a little homework of stocking stitch knitted swatches. Full details will be included in the letter.
- Once purchased you will receive a letter explaining more about the day. Letters will be sent out nearer to the workshop date.
N.B. Sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control workshops and events may be cancelled. At which point the cost of your workshop will be fully refunded. We cannot be held liable for any travel costs incurred.
