James C Brett Flutterby hooded blanket

Lesley has been knitting a hooded baby blanket in James C Brett Flutterby for her Sister- in- Law. She did however encounter a slight hurdle along the way. When she had completed the main blanket piece and cast it off – all finished and then disaster struck……..

It ripped! Lesley was trying to ease the blanket straight on her cast on edge as the sticthes looked a little bunched together, it was then she heard a ripping noise and her beautiful blanket had come away right in the middle!! Noooo!

The next day Lesley came in work with her forlorn blanket. It was in need of a little TLC. We put a post out on Facebook asking if anyone had any suggestions of how this problem could be over come. We all had a lot of sympathy for Lesley as something like this can be done so easily. Lots of great suggestions came in from everyone. Then it was Yvonne to the rescue! Yvonne is one of our most talented knitters here at Black Sheep Wools. She took Lesley’s blanket home and carefully took back the rows to the ‘damaged’ section.

Lesley got her knitting mojo back and knitted the hood ready to keep its new owner toasty and warm. A fabulous blanket!
