Therapeutic knitting workshop with Betsan Corkhill

Saturday 7th May 2016 | 10am - 4pm

Knit to improve your wellbeing – a therapeutic knitting workshop.

This workshop is for those who wish to learn how to enhance the benefits of knitting and crochet.

Over the course of the day you will learn how to use knitting and crochet as a tool to deliberately improve your wellbeing.

Therapeutic knitting is not just for those with medical problems – everyone can benefit from having a tool at hand any time, anywhere to enhance their wellbeing. Use it to manage day-to-day stress, life’s inevitable challenges and improve your creativity.

If you live with a medical condition, therapeutic knitting can be taken a step further. Learn to use it as an effective tool to manage a range of symptoms and to live life well.

The first half of the day will focus on an informal talk about therapeutic knitting and the science behind it. It will be an interactive session giving you the opportunity to ask questions and discuss as we go.

The afternoon will focus on specific conditions particularly stress which affects us all from time to time. This will also cover using specific projects and materials with particular aims in mind – the practical side of therapeutic knitting.

This will be an informal workshop that will revolve and evolve around you and your desired outcomes so please bring your questions, stories and an easy knitting project.

Refreshments and a finger buffet lunch will be provided on the day. A slice of cake in the afternoon too!

A 10% off voucher is also included.

Once purchased you will receive a letter explaining more about the day.

N.B Please note cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will still be charged.
