When did you catch the crafting bug?

A group of ladies from our Tuesday knit and natter group come in for lunch in the afternoon. They have started giving me and Julie knitting homework! They helped us both to learn, I have finished a snood so far. My next project is a summer snood in Rico Fashion Colour Pop.

When did you catch the crafting bug?

While you are learning to knit mark the purl and knit side of your knitting with a pin and piece of paper. This will help to know where you are up to when you get to the end of your row.

What type of maker are you? Do you have lots of WIP’s or do you like to finish a project before starting a new one?

In an ideal world I would like to finish a project before starting another. I did do this before I started working at Black Sheep Wools, now the temptation to start new projects is very hard to resist!

Which designer inspires you the most?

Tula Pink, I love the details in her fabric designs, they are worth looking at closer. Very clever stuff.

Do you have any top tips to share?

Don’t practice with stuff you don’t like. If it works out well, you still won’t like it!

Do you have any top tips to share?

Take a copy of your pattern, read all the way through and cross out / hide any bits which aren’t relevant e.g. when knitting a garment with 2 versions on a pattern.
